Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has today [24/04/2020] officially launched online classes for students of Class 12. AHSEC in association with YouTube channel EduAid today starts YouTube classes for various subjects from Commerce Stream for Class 12 students.

This step is taken so as to compensate for enormous losses of students due to country-wise lock down for Covid-19 or CoronaVirus.

Here's the current schedule for AHSEC online classes starting from 24/04/2020:

Economics: Tuesday & Friday

Time: 7 PM

AICTE Launches ELIS Portal To Offer Free Online Courses

NOTE : We wish all the students and faculty safe home stay during lockdown & help fight COVID19 & come out successfull. During the lockdown, learning should not stop.

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has launched an unique online portal called ELIS for students free of cost till May 15 amid country-wide lock down due to COVID-19. The Enhancement in Learning with Improvement In Skills (ELIS) portal is now available at free.aicte-india.org.

The ELIS portal at present offers 26 various courses provided by 18 edu-tech companies. These courses cover subjects like java programming, digital marketing, CAD, machine learning, data analytics, Big Data, python and many more.

Usually these courses are priced ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 20,000. However, in the current lockdown period, they are offered free to students who enroll till May 15.

TCS iON, a strategic unit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has Monday announced a 15-day free self-paced digital certification programme called Career Edge to sharpen skills of college students and professionals during this global lockdown period due to COVID-19 outbreak.

Director of Technical Education, Assam (DTE) has released the official notification of Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT)-2020 for admission into Diploma Courses in the following State Government Polytechnics of Assam and Polytechnics outside Assam (against seat allotted by the Govt. of India).

Name of post: Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) - 2020
Educational Qualification: Candidate must pass the H.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subject with –
1. 40% marks [average] in Mathematics and Science for General Candidates.
2. 35% marks [average] in Mathematics and Science for Schedule Caste Candidates.
3. 33% marks [average] in Mathematics and Science for Scheduled Tribes Candidates.

Maximum age as on 31-12-2020:
1. 20 years 6 months [General]
2. 23 years 6 months [SC/ ST]
3. For Institutions outside Assam [against Govt. of India allotted seats] the upper age limit is 20 years 6 months.

Application Fee: An application fee of Rs.500/- [plus bank charges as applicable] is to be paid using “State Bank Collect” which facilitates payment through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.
Payment may also be made in cash at any State Bank of India after generating the Cash Deposit Form from “State Bank Collect’ in final step of Online Application. Further instructions will be available during the online application process.

Test Center/s: Admission Test will be held in selected centers at Mangaldoi, Tezpur, Tinsukia and in Govt. Polytechnics/Institutions of Assam.
